JACKSONVILLE — Fred Taylor was discussing his historic day Sunday when a tiresome question popped up about the big blank in his biography.
"Ah man, more Pro Bowl questions," Taylor said.
Taylor's Pro Bowl history — or rather, lack of it — has given him a place in trivia quizzes.
Taylor passed Earl Campbell on the all-time rushing list Sunday, and now ranks 21st with 9,450 yards, yet he still hasn't been selected for the annual trip to Honolulu. Taking the snub a little further, of the top 50 rushers all time, only Taylor and No. 49 Antowain Smith have been omitted from the all-star game.
At 30 and in his ninth season, Taylor is having a vintage year for the Jacksonville Jaguars: fourth in the AFC and eighth overall in the NFL with 1,083 rushing yards.
