Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

So the great QB debate rages on for the Jaguars. Will it be Byron Leftwich under center for Jacksonville against the Houston Texans on Sunday, or will it be David Garrard, who has led the team to back-to-back victories over the Eagles and Titans? Either way, they better be ready for a Houston team that kept it close against the mighty NY Giants, losing by just four points. Who wins this one?

Wounded Jaguars hope for revenge against Texans
BY CARL KOTALA
FLORIDA TODAY

The Jacksonville Jaguars remember all too well the last time they played the Houston Texans.

Heck, it was only three weeks ago.

Seems like a lot longer though, doesn't it?

In the time since Houston pulled off a surprising 27-7 upset, the Jaguars have changed quarterbacks, lost more defensive players to injury and . . . oh yeah, won two in a row.

So when the Texans (2-6) come to Alltel Stadium today for a 1 p.m. game, the Jaguars (5-3) will have much more than payback on their minds.

"I think for us it's bigger than revenge over one team," Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio told reporters this week. "I think it's more about us playing good football and getting hot. It's November. It's time to get hot."

Especially if the Jaguars want to make the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
