It’s shocking how many talented young players arrive at NFL training camps every year and never get it.

Montell Owens isn’t complaining, though. If not for them, he probably wouldn’t be playing on Sundays right now.

The University of Maine product fought his way from the depths of the Jacksonville training camp roster this summer -- past some of those complacent, bigger-name talents -- to make the team as an undrafted free agent. His role is in the kicking game, and he’s excelled at it. He’s on every coverage unit, and in the Jags’ season-opening win over Dallas, Owens recovered an onside kick to seal the game.

I hope Little John Flowers makes the Jets team in 2007. I already hear chants in the tailgating nation outside Giants stadium, "Flowers Is Power!"

yep, he was the best we had last year

but its such a small school football talent wise compared to the better known schools
