Yes, in a way they are... I think Del Rio likes to call it "getting back to the team values" or somthing like that.
Don't get me wrong... I really believe they have a shot at a 9-7, maybe even 10-6 record this season... but they are definitally getting back to their core values... they've gotten rid of every 'trouble maker' and under acheiver... Jerry Porter, Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Drayton Flourence, Dennis Northcutt, Mike Peterson and so on....
They stressed high character players in their FA aquisitions, and in the Draft... and I think they're getting it right...
Last year they had lots of team chemistry issues, with this change to go back to their values of character and chemistry, I think they have rebuilt, but also have enough talent of the team to get to the playoffs if the ball falls the right way... let's cross our fingers-- okay, I'll just cross mine
