This is really no surprise to me...Northern Iowa was a great contender in the Missouri Valley and a good stepping stone for coaches that want to go to the Big Time!!

I am sort of surprised, actually. It happened so fast (Wayne Morgan was fired only 4 days ago) and there is no word yet on whether or not there will be sanctions from the recruiting scandal.

Finally, Greg McDermott will get paid what he deserves.

Well, I suppose he could of held off for a bit to see what sanctions are imposed. But Iowa State is a good job, and they have the potential to be a big time program. I am sure he wanted to jump on the offer asap.

It's great exposure for him, don't get me wrong, and my ISU fanatic family is ecstatic. He'll also be making about 8 times more money in Ames. That obviously can't hurt.
