| Dissapoint Baseball Season over for Hawkeyes Jack Dahm had every intention of spending this week at the Big Ten Tournament. His Iowa baseball team qualified for the field in two of the previous three years, the Hawkeyes were taking positive steps as a program in each of Dahm's first four seasons, and he started the year with a club that had the components to make another trip to the conference tournament. The Big Ten Tournament started Wednesday in Ann Arbor, Mich., but Dahm and the Hawkeyes were trying to find the light to the conference stairway after landing in the league's basement. "The one word you never want to use as a coach is underachieving, and that's what I felt we did," Dahm said. "We didn't play up to our potential, and that's on me. I've got to get our guys to perform better. They gave us a good effort, and we just didn't get things clicking this year. We'll improve on that." They have no other direction to go. The Hawkeyes ended the year Saturday with a 9-7 loss to Ohio State that assured Iowa of a last-place finish in the Big Ten at 10-22 and a 22-33 overall record.
