| Barta plans next stage of upgrades. Now that Kinnick Stadium has been renovated from top to bottom, University of Iowa athletic officials will shift their attention indoors. The Iowa football team's indoor practice facility, which is more commonly known as the bubble, has been around for more than two decades, and officials say it needs to be either replaced with a permanent structure or at least upgraded. Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta said building a new indoor football practice facility is high on the to-do list, but that plans are still in the preliminary stages. Making improvements to the Jacobson Athletic Complex, which houses the football coaches' offices, the strength and conditioning facilities, the team meeting rooms and the locker rooms, is also on the to-do list. hawk central | Hawkeye Sports
