Iowa junior guard Tony Freeman has asked for, and been granted, a release from his basketball scholarship at the University of Iowa. Freeman will not be a member of the Hawkeye basketball program next season.

Very tough loss, who steps up? Cyrus Tate and Jake Kelly will definitely need to. How does the incoming freshman/juco transfer class look? Any immediate contributors?

I don't how about immediate impact but they have two SGs coming in and one PF. I think Lickliter is trying to get some good shooters in there so he can get his system to work.
