Todd Lickliter has been the Iowa men's basketball coach for over a year now, but he doesn't seem any closer to having a practice facility than when he was hired.

I was convinced that statement was true, and was starting to believe what Steve Alford said when he called the University of Iowa a football school, until Iowa Athletics Director Gary Barta set the record straight this week.

Barta's message was simple: just because there is no fancy, new structure currently being built on the hill adjacent to Carver-Hawkeye Arena doesn't mean that the practice facility is low on the priority list or that nothing has gone on since Lickliter was hired.
