FAYETTEVILLE, AR -- Hawkeye senior
Kineke Alexander earned her seventh career all-America honor Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, AR. The Glenside, St. Vincent and the Grenadines native placed fifth in the 400 meters with a time of 52.72. She now holds the Hawkeye school record for most all-America honors earned, capturing all seven in the in the 400 meters.
Seniors
Tammilee Kerr and
Meghan Armstrong also competed for the Hawkeyes at the national indoor meet on Saturday. Kerr placed 15th in the pentathlon with 3,836 points. Her highest placings in the five-event competition were 11th in the high jump (5-6 1/2), and 12th in the long jump (18-3 1/4) and 800 meters (2:27.63). Armstrong placed 13th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:37.54.
