Iowa's Solverson Big Ten Player of the Week

The Big Ten announced today that Iowa senior Johanna Solverson has been named co-Player of the Week with Ohio State’s Jantel Lavender.

Solverson takes home her second career weekly honor and her second of the season after helping Iowa clinch a share of the Big Ten Conference title.

Against Northwestern on Thursday, Solverson netted 13 points on .500 (6-of-12) shooting with six assists, four rebounds and three steals. On Sunday at Wisconsin, the senior scored a career-high 31 points on a career-high 12 field goals, adding three boards, two assists and one steal as the Hawkeyes clinched their first Big Ten title since 1998. On the week, Solverson averaged 22 points, 3.5 rebounds, four assists and two steals while shooting .563 from the field and .455 from beyond the arc.
