| Moeaki to Miss Spring Practice The news keeps getting worse for Hawkeye tight end Tony Moeaki. Moeaki was on his way to a breakout season for the Hawkeyes before injuring his elbow and hand against Wisconsin in Iowa's Big Ten opener. He ended up missing the rest of the season. In a press conference today, head coach Kirk Ferentz said that Moeaki won't be 100 percent until probably June, and that he will likely miss spring practice. Losing Moeaki was a major blow to the Hawkeyes. He was one of the team's top receivers on a squad that eventually saw most of its receiving corps lost to injury. The good news is that Ferentz is confident that Moeaki should be able to get a medical redshirt for the 2007 season, which would leave him with two seasons of eligibility with the Hawkeyes Moeaki to miss spring practice
