| Walk-on making huge Impact Two starts. Two interceptions. "How about that percentage?" former Pleasant Valley football coach Ed Morrissey said regarding his former star's contribution to Iowa's first Big Ten Conference victory in more than a year. The buzz at the eastern Iowa high school Monday included talk about one of their own, Brett Greenwood, sealing the deal against once-ranked Illinois with a late interception in the Hawkeyes' 10-6 win at Kinnick Stadium. "We were wondering," Morrissey asked, "is Brett on scholarship?" Coach Kirk Ferentz did that last summer after it became apparent the redshirt freshman may see considerable playing time in the Iowa secondary. The former walk-on started at safety - and intercepted a pass - in a loss against Penn State on Oct. 6. He started at safety again Saturday and made the game-saving play on the goal line with 1:12 to play. Iowa football: Former walk-on making an impact
