Humpal named Big Ten defensive player of the week

Iowa linebacker Mike Humpal was honored by the Big Ten Conference today for his defensive performance against Illinois on Saturday.

Humpal was named defensive player of the week in the conference, the first time a Hawkeye has won the honor since Mitch King in late 2005.
