| A win to cure all wounds ? Iowa City, Ia. — Iowa football coach Kirk Ferentz keeps a cool public persona - even when the questioning borders on tough. Uh, coach, a questioner asked at Ferentz's weekly news conference Tuesday, is it fair to call the program unstable right now? This is one of those times former Hawkeye coach Hayden Fry might have blistered the questioner. Not Ferentz. "Call it whatever you want," he said politely. "I mean, all I know is we lost Saturday, we lost the Saturday before, and the Saturday before. "You know, we won the first two. You can call it whatever you want." The state of the program is in black and white - no Big Ten Conference wins this season, and five losses in a row before that. Is this a program in trouble heading into Saturday's game at Penn State?
