| Hawkeyes QB Jake Christensen Jake Christensen will take over as the Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback this season, replacing Drew Tate. Oddly enough, Christensen, filling in for an injured Tate last season, is the last QB to lead Iowa to a victory (they closed 2006 with four straight losses). Christensen is a 6-1, 215 pound sophomore from Lockport, Illinois who went 23-of-35 for 285 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs as a freshman. How good will he be? | Re: Hawkeyes QB Jake Christensen Ferentz himself is drawing comparisons to two former Iowa quarterbacks. "Drew (Tate) was demonstrative. Brad (Banks) was very placid. (Jake) is probably right in the middle," Ferentz told the Hawkeyes official website. "We're really excited about Jake. He's a good thrower and we think he can be very similar to Drew in terms of what he brings to our offense." So can this kid really be as good as Drew Tate?
