Jake Christensen will take over as the Iowa Hawkeyes quarterback this season, replacing Drew Tate. Oddly enough, Christensen, filling in for an injured Tate last season, is the last QB to lead Iowa to a victory (they closed 2006 with four straight losses). Christensen is a 6-1, 215 pound sophomore from Lockport, Illinois who went 23-of-35 for 285 yards, 2 TDs and 2 INTs as a freshman. How good will he be?

He was a sub for two games or so last year he is good. Kinda looks like a left handed Chad Henne. He will be good.

I was listening to some Hawks insiders and they said he is a lot like Brady Quinn he has Quinn somewhat mobility a big arm. But the knock him is is he too much of a body builder

Ferentz himself is drawing comparisons to two former Iowa quarterbacks.

He's a good thrower and we think he can be very similar to Drew in terms of what he brings to our offense." So can this kid really be as good as Drew Tate?
