University of Iowa senior Eric Luedke has been named to the 2006-07 National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) all-academic wrestling team. The Colby, KS, native is a two-time all-American and two-time academic all-Big Ten selection. He wrestled at 165 pounds in 2005-06 and at 174 in 2006-07.
In 2006-07, Luedke placed third at the NCAA and Big Ten Championships. He posted a 33-4 season record in collegiate matches, going 16-1 in duals and 7-1 in Big Ten duals. He won a title at the Midlands Championships and led Iowa in collegiate wins (33), duals wins (16), collegiate winning percentage (.892) and dual winning percentage (.941). Luedke finished his Hawkeye career with a 56-19 record, going 23-8 in dual matches.
