| Hawkeyes NFL Draft IOWA CITY -- Mike Elgin became the second native Iowan and the second offensive lineman at the University of Iowa to be selected in the 2007 NFL Draft when the New England Patriots called Elgin's name in the seventh round... Elgin, a senior from Bangston, joined UI offensive lineman Marshal Yanda of Anamosa, and tight end Scott Chandler as Hawkeyes who had their names called in the NFL's annual draft of the very best college football talent when the Patriots selected him with the 37th pick in the seven round.
