The University of Iowa soccer team continued to roll through its 2007 spring season with a win over Kansas and draws against Saint Louis and Marquette. The Hawkeyes are currently 3-0-3.
"We had some nice results over the weekend," Head Coach Ron Rainey said. "We need to continue to stay focused and keep the positive results coming."
Iowa played in a hard fought scoreless draw at Saint Louis on March 24. The Hawkeyes had a few scoring chances, including one by Jackie Kaeding that hit the crossbar, but couldn't net the winning goal. Rainey, however, was happy with the result.
"It was a real back and forth game and we created some chances," Rainey said. "We did some very good things against Saint Louis. They won their conference last year and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. I think the result showed how much we are improving."
