MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The University of Iowa Men's Gymnastics team competed in the 2007 Big Ten Championships Friday night at the University of Minnesota. The Hawkeyes finished sixth with a score of 210.0.
The outing was highlighted by Jacques Bouchard's first place performance on rings. There was a five-way tie for first and his score of 9.65 broke the Iowa record on the event, which he previously set this year (against Stanford and Illinois). Matt Beiler also set a personal best record on rings, 9.55, to finish tied for sixth. The strong performances led Iowa to finish with a 37.25 on rings, their best event of the night.
Jacob Becker finished third on pommel horse, scoring an 8.85. Curtis Kleffman placed 10th in the event, posting an 8.55.
