PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- The field is set for the 2007 Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament that will take place Thursday-Sunday, March 8-11, at the United Center in Chicago, Ill., and Coach Steve Alford's Iowa Hawkeyes - the tourney's No. 4 seed - will square off against No. 5 seed Purdue on Friday.
Iowa defeated Purdue 78-59 Feb. 21 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena in the teams' only meeting of the regular season.
The Hawkeyes will be looking to become the first squad in Big Ten Tournament history to win the tourney crown three times. Alford guided the UI to the title last year in Indianapolis and in 2001 at the United Center.
