University of Iowa senior guard Adam Haluska remains in contention for two prestigious post-season national awards as the college basketball season heads toward the final portion of the regular season.
The Atlanta Tipoff Club has announced that Haluska is in the final 30 of the Men's Naismith Trophy, presented by AT&T. Four finalists will be selected by the award's voting academy and those finalists will be announced in mid-March. The Naismith Award winner will be honored during the Final Four weekend in Atlanta, GA.
In addition, Haluska is one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior Class Award. The award is presented annually to an NCAA Division I male and female senior basketball player who excels both on and off the court.
The finalists will be placed on the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award ballot for a nationwide vote during the NCAA Tournament in March. Fan balloting will be coupled with votes from coaches, media and sponsors to determine the male and female recipients. Winners will be announced during the men's and women's respective Final Four weekends.
