| Iowa vs Iowa State - men's basketball Iowa (4-5) meets Iowa State (6-2) Friday, Dec. 5 in the second of three straight games against in-state rivals. Game time is 7:05 p.m. in Carver-Hawkeye Arena (15,500). Iowa dropped a 57-55 contest at home Tuesday night to Northern Iowa after winning its own Hawkeye Challenge with victories over Coppin State (83-67) and Texas-Pan American (62-46) last weekend. Iowa State dropped an 80-78 decision to Drake Dec. 3 in Ames in its last outing, suffering a second straight defeat after opening the season with six straight wins.
