Iowa Hawkeyes - Syracuse Orange

This weekend, the 1-0 Iowa Hawkeyes hit the road for a game against the Syracuse Orange. Iowa won, 41-7, over I-AA Montana last weekend, thanks largely to QB Drew Tate's 225 yard, 3 TD day. Syracuse should serve to be a slightly more challenging opponent, but not by much, as the Orange are winless in their last 10 games. So, will this be an easy Hawkeye victory?

Re: Iowa Hawkeyes - Syracuse Orange

Wow... what a finish. The Hawkeyes, without Drew Tate, needed two overtimes to finally down the Syracuse Orange, 20-13. Tate was pulled from the lineup before the game due to an abdominal muscle injury. His replacement, Jason Manson, threw four interceptions and nearly cost Iowa the game. Just goes to show you what a difference one player can make, especially when he's a Heisman candidate like Tate, eh?
