An Old-Timer in the house

I've been a racing fan since the late 60s --- got started with the straight-liners -- C Sport Class. In the 70s, the hubby and I were into Late Models on dirt. In 1979, I saw the 500 and was hooked.

Money and time kept me from attending any live races until the early 90s -- but I made up for lost time. Been to at least 40 races since then --- everywhere from Las Vegas, to Michigan, to Dover, to Miami.

Was a plank owner at Texas Motor Speedway --- kept my seats until the knees gave out in 2007.

I'm a retired English teacher --- yes, I'll be watching you. LOL

I'm an admin at another vbulletin forum, so I love your layout.

Re: An Old-Timer in the house

Welcome to GTG Texas Race Lady.
We have a number of old timers on here, especially in the racing forum. Perhaps you know our Racer Duck, he's from Texas also.
I dont know anything about racing, strictly ball and stick as they say.

Retired English teacher, huh? That's funny because we are always harping about grammar and capitalization especially in the mods forum.

Re: An Old-Timer in the house

Welcome Texas Race Lady. As noted we do have a very good racing forum, whether it be NASCAR or anyone of several other types of racing. Pay no attention to the other two who are always playing with words.

Would love to pick your brain about your admin duties someday.
