I just wanted to let everybody know it is great to be here! I am trying this site out as opposed to gambling forum sites I have posted on in the past. I am assuming this is not the theme of this site which is a good thing and can just chat about sports instead of always gambling.

My favorite king sport is football NCAA and NFL. Huge U of Oregon Duck fan and former season ticket holder for 16 yrs. I moved to Colorado in late 2002 and have adopted Colorado Rockies baseball, Denver Broncos and Colorado Buffaloes as teams that I have a new keen interest in. I also love March Madness in NCAA basketball with the Ducks the team I root for. It is great to be here and look forward to posting in this new sports forum and seeing what everybody is about here! Hello there Gotham Dark Knight, that was one of the quickest responses in memory joining a site for the first time...I am impressed. Who replaces Dixon, my son from Oregon called me who watched the Spring Game in April, it is between Nathan Costa and the famed Georgia freshman sensation Justin Roper who as a freshman, threw 4 td passes against South Florida last year's Sun Bowl in Ducks 59-16 pounding victory. I am impressed Gotham Dark knight!!!

Thanks for the greeting Simple Simon! Yes, this is a make or break year for Cutler. Unfortunately, he is now diagnosed with stage 3 diabetes but will not hold this against him. Sometimes athletes perform even better when they have afflictions going against them. I still love Cutler's arm but unfortunately, since Broncos recently waived Walker, there is no stud wide receiver unless you consider Brandon Marshall one...I don't. See what happens?

Definitely no gambling, just all the sports talk you want.
I was involved in March Madness for the first time this year and loved it.
I think Cutler will be able to deal with his diabetes unless something drastic comes up.
are you happy to see Travis Henry go? Think Selvin Young will take the starter position?
I read that Brandon Marshall is ready to start playing. That should help Cutler out some.

Thanks for the greeting Bette! One thing I am learning is that there a lot of posters on this website with awesome sports knowledge which I find awesome. Selvin Young is a guy that wasn't even drafted from Texas who Shanahan gave a shot last year and made the team. He actually is a good running back but has one problem that drives all Broncos fans nuts, he fumbles the ball too often.

All Bronco fans were happy to see Travis Henry gone. He is actually the best RB overall in the NFL but has a liablity no NFL team wants, he loves to do drugs and is always hurt. Shanahan got tired of it and released him...no suprise to me or other Bronco fans. I actually think Pitman will start at RB for the Broncos on opening day. This is just my prediction and NFL summer camp has not quite opened yet. Pitman is a veteran who can catch and run the ball well. He is perfect for what Shanahan is looking for in the type of offense he runs...is he long term answer?...no because of his age but will do for this season.

My sister is a big UT fan and after the exploits of Ricky Williams and Cedric Benson she has kind of put her faith in Selvin Young. He did well starting last year at the end of the season, she thinks he will start. As for the fumbling, that can be maybe fixed. Just remember Tiki Barber and Tom Coughlin. Shanahan is very good at finding running backs.
Yeah, I know its early but this speculation stuff is an awful lot of fun.
I always like hearing from the fans of teams. They always know more inside info. So of course I will be hearing from you in the Broncos forum

Thanks for the welcome Lefty and really like the how this forum is set up and very knowledgable posters here.

Shanahan's seat is not red hot but this is a huge year for him and the QB Shanahan drafted two years ago and started all last year in Cutler. If Cutler fails, Shanahan could be gone. This is the consensus on the sports talk shows up here and the papers have written some negative articles on Shanahan but nothing more than normal. I think the Bronco fans will be patient only to a point. Broncos have a lot of wholes to fill in some of the most important areas...Offensive and Defensive lines. See what happens but fully expect some improvement this year. I don't expect the Chargers to drop off at all in the division.

Thanks for the welcome Vince and when the Broncos drafted Culter two yrs ago, this definetely was the expectation. It is unfortunate that so much emphasis is placed on the QB. You know the saying: QB gets too much credit when your team wins and is the top one to blame when you lose...just the way it is.

I sure don't rule out Selvin Young starting and a very good chance he will start opening day. I just felt that by the Broncos acquiring Pitman from Tampa Bay last month that this could be the guy he starts. Shanahan is constantly rotating RB's so even if Young didn't start, he will play a lot, I guarantee it.
