Hey everybody, sports radio has been really hum drum lately with the Clemens/MacNamee hearings and all so I figured that i'd join here so we can talk about some actual sporting events as well as the steroid controversy. I'm a big Giants fan (who isn't nowadays!?!) and I like the Yankees as well although baseball I like as sort of a casual interest. Didn't check to see if you have a UFC forum here, again i'm sort of a casual fan of that as well but I don't think it really has earned the respect of the media yet (at least not WFAN!! ) so I was curious. Well just saying hi and hope you all have a great day!!

Thanks Lefty Noob and I haven't checked it out yet but I wanted to see about some news about the great Tito Ortiz so I will. Great site you have here. I think i'll have to earn my stripes though with so much going on in sports on the Northeast coast. The Clemens/MacNamee hearings, The Giants winning the Super Bowl, Johan Santanna, business is good huh?

Welcome to the site Dusty. It must be a great time to be a sports fan in NY. Just won the superbowl, the Yankees are the Yankees, and the Mets just got Santana. Well, at least until you get to the Knicks.

I'd have to say yes simply because Santanna is probably the second best pitcher in baseball so if you have an opportunity to get him even though it pretty much wiped out your whole farm system you have to do it. Maybe the pressure to get a superstar like Santanna is even heavier on the Mets in order to win their fans back after that historical collapse in the last weeks of the '07 season.

It's weird right now being a Giants fan. The initial craziness has passed. And it's slowly turning into baseball season. Yet, the Giants still have a solid team that should be able to make a push in the playoffs again. So I'm still excited about next year's football season. That usually isn't the case lol.

I really love it here and am glad I joined. I learned more from some of you guy's like Lefty Noob, Empire and Gotham Dark Night than I do from listening to hours of WFAN!!!
