Post Hey all!

I am a college football stathistorian for college football--all levels and seasons--and write books on statistical histories.

I enjoy trivia and talking college football in general, any time 24/7/365-366!

Anxious to meet others who also enjoy talking college football.

I live in the midwest, Indiana; but my heart remains in Texas--where I went to college....why?? Cause I am crazy about college football. Our teams were all that good, BUT better than Prairie View, Northwestern or Columbia--we actually won some (11) games LOL! So, you can see my schools were the caliabler of UT Hook 'em Horns or Mount Union...it was difficult at times keepin stats and writing-up game stories for losing teams...but, Hey somebody had to do it.

To me, it's always college football season!

Re: Hey all!

Welcome aboard, Historian, and thanks for joining us.

Yeah, college football's great, ain't it? Crazy season thus far - everyone knows the Michigan upset to Appalachian State, but Northern Iowa beating Iowa State, who then beat Iowa, who will probably now go on to beat Wisconsin is wild stuff in it's own right. And who would've thought we'd see USF over Auburn, or the Wolverines and Irish playing each other, winless, for the first time EVER? Great stuff - no other sport can duplicate it.

Oh, and I'm thrilled to see some love for the boys from Alliance in your post. Go Purple Raiders!

Re: Hey all!

Hey Chuck aka "Lefty Noob" ...
To start of with you can call me Tex.

You're so right college football 07 is very crazy....Lou Holtz once said that the ball takes some funny bounces....I say some teams have taken the unpredictable thus far.

Since you're a MU fan here a stat for you:
As you know the Purple Raiders are known for scoring many points in a season....and have scored 500+ regularly and over 600+ and once 700+...
Did you that they are the ONLY team in college football STATHISTORY to score at least 500+ in 12 consecutive seasons, 1995-2006.

*1. (12) Mount Union, 1995-2006, 7524 points2. (5) St. Francis IN, 2002-06, 2674 points3. (4) Yale, 1886-89, 2565 points (4) Michigan, 1901-04, 2326 points (4) Boise State, 2002-05, 2297 points (4) Florida, 1993-96, 2200 points

Re: Hey all!

Thanks, Tex, I did not know that. If that's the kind of stuff that's in your book, I'll be looking forward to its release!
