| Re: Newbie Welcome to the site Terri. I like Carl Edwards also. he is not my favorite, but he helped me out alot. I had a pool at work and evervbody picked drivers. Whoever had the driver with the highest finish won. Edwards won for me 3 straight times. What is the best place to see a race. I have been wanting to go to one. Friends keep telling me to stay away from the Poconos. Are there any you would recommend.

I would have to say Talladega. Not just because its my favorite but also because there is constant action going on ,plenty of room where driver's can pass and the place is HUGE! They have a motorsports museum next to the track and while there we went to Hueytown ,Alabama where Davey Allison grew up . Got to see his boyhood home ,his dad Bobby's race shop as well as the beautiful home that Davey had built during the off season in 1992 .We also ate at Davey favorite place"The Iceburg" now called the "Home Track" .We also went to Davey's gravesite . I would also suggest Charlotte,NC .I mean you can't go wrong there .They have the Speed Street Festival that leads up to the race and then there are all of the race shop's to visit .Both the festival and the race shop's are free . |

| Re: Newbie Hi Bears , I saw on I believe it was "Nascar Now" they chose Carl as one of the guy's to be in contention for the Brickyard . Carl was supposed to of ran in the open wheel sprint car's at ORP but set it out in stead to go easy on his hand . Like his cousin Ken Schrader he is a racer through and through. If it has 4 wheel's Carl and Kenny will race in it |
