i humbly disagree .... say it is cut by 20 cents per gallon ..... say your household buys 30 gallons a week between vehicles, boats and lawnmowers .... that works out to $6 a week in savings ..... $24 a month .... while i agree it isnt a huge savings it but you can give me $24 a month anytime

If they cut it, there wont be any tax revenue.

not cut it completely ... just partially ... and i wouldnt expect every state to do it ..... let's say Maine did it but others around here didnt ..... you know for sure many people in NH would cross the boarder to save 20 cents a gallon .... that would help make up for the lowered tax

im not saying any state would ever do it .... and im not even saying it would work for sure ..... just an idea ...... gees .. no need to beat me up about it

not to burst your bubble, but even the $24 a month (which wouldnt even keep your kids in milk) you'd just have to make it up somehow later. They'd raise the fuel tax even more. You never get something for nothing from Uncle Sam. Sooner or later you pay for it somehow someway. That includes the stimulus check.
$24 a month wouldnt even fill up my husband's truck once.

True ... for those that are not aware that stimulus check is borrowed money. How ever much they pay out is that much further we are in debt. Nice check but what have we given up in the future to get it?
