its cold so it acts as an internal ice pack on your throat ..... also youre not allowed to eat much else (not anything that could scratch or irritate your throat)

so basically your choices are ice cream, Popsicles, pudding, jello .... stuff like that

After tonsil surgery you can only have soft/liquid foods, while your throat heals. The ice cream is soft and flavorful, and soothes the throat.

Wisconsin has another snowstorm coming again tonight and for Valentine's Day. It looks like the worse part of this one will be farther north this time.

my wife just called me .... he is done and awake and doing fine .... he wants to come home .... i guess the nurse went to find a doctor to see if he can be released ..... my father is a retired doctor that used that hospital so i dont know if the last name is helping move things along here

Glad the little guy's surgery went so well simon.

We had 8-10 inches of snow on Valentines Day. Now we have another winter storm watch from tonight thru Sun. It will be one of those good ones with up to 1/10 of an inch ice accumulation and 6-8 inches of snow. Then the wind will pick up.
After that, we will send it to the eastern part of the country

Yeah, great news simon! So how is everything with the little guy now, a few days after the fact?

thanks to everyone for your concern ..... he is doing as well as expected .... it helps that my dad is a retired doctor from this area .. his name still carries a bit of weight out of professional curtosey and he is always a phone call away to answer any questions

JJ was released right away from the hospital ..... a little early because they wanted him home off the roads before the storm got bad ..... he has been doing well though ..... some pain and discomfort ..... seems good that they did it just before vacation so he has the extra time to get better without missing extra days of school
