A dyed-in-the-wool Nationals fan Greetings! My name is Crash and yes, yes, I am an honest-to-Ryan Zimmerman devoted Washington Nationals Fan. I was born here in the D.C. suburbs, I've lived here my entire life and I work in the District of Columbia. I attended exactly one Senators game as a kid. No, I am not an Orioles fan, nor have I ever been, but I have nothing against the Baltimore MLB team except it's owner, may he rot in perpetuity. I've had 81-game season tickets to the Nationals for two years now and I plan to continue being one for years to come. Yes, I believe in "The Plan". Say what you will about their record, but true love knows no box score. This is a fun team to watch.

Re: A dyed-in-the-wool Nationals fan Good for you Crash! A lot of people don't warm up to a team till they've been there a few years but the Nationals should have more fans like you. Hope to see you on the boards soon.

Re: A dyed-in-the-wool Nationals fan Man, that's a darned-good question. We're all scratching our heads about that. So far, we've been trying to convince ourselves that he's just off to a slow start but.... it's May now. I don't know what to think. Perhaps he does need to be moved in the lineup. Fortunately, his defense has been outstanding. He's been making these "Sports Center"-esque plays of late, even Soriano saw them on T.V. and text-messaged him about them, so I read. Right now, our Ryan-to-watch has been Church, who has FINALLY blossomed into the great player that we thought be could be two years ago when he was a legitimate Rookie-of-the-Year candidate before he injured himself on a game-saving catch into a wall. We are also holding our collective breathes as we welcome our newest Ryan, Langerhans, to the team today. I hope that hitting coach Mitchell Page can "fix" whatever's been wrong with his swing this spring.

What about Kearns?...Any chance he is gonna go back to being the hitter he started out to be for the Reds? |

Re: A dyed-in-the-wool Nationals fan That's a good line. Welcome to GTG. As per Zimmerman, don't worry. He'll figure it out. The fact that his defense is solid almost guarantees he'll find his pace. The Sophomore Slump is almost a required experience nowadays in the majors.
