Hey everyone

What’s up everyone? I was looking for a good place to talk sports and came across the board on Google.
I live in San Antonio, Texas and am a big fan of the Spurs, Astros, Texans, and the Texas A&M Aggies. I’m looking forward to talking with everyone.

Re: Hey everyone

Welcome, Kevin. You are lucky that the username you selected is still available!

I'm sure that we will be talking up the Astros this season in the MLB Section of the GoTeamsGo Fan Forum.

The Spurs are on the rise, again. I'm expecting them to make a serious run at the championship in the upcoming Playoffs.

The Texans have been criticized for drafting Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. Who would you want if you were the GM?

I'm not a big college football fan, but you are welcome to join our fascinating discussion in the College Sports Section.

Hey, Kevin, welcome to GoTeamsGo! I'm a Spurs fan myself to some degree... quite a tear they've been on recently, eh? As far as the Texas, who would you like to see them go after in the draft this April?

Re: Hey everyone

Thanks for the welcome guys, I appreciate it.
Yeah, the Spurs have been on fire recently. It's funny how a lot of people (even here) had them dead in the water two months ago. lol
As for the Draft, I would really love to see the Texans take LaRon Landry. He is the one player who could come in and make an immediate impact in the secondary which has been one of the big weaknesses for the team. If Quinn is still there at 8 though, he will probably be the guy.

Re: Hey everyone

Welcome to the forum Kevin. I saw you were in the Reds forum and held out hope you were a fellow fan, but a rival. We can still make fun of the Cubs and Pirates together.

Are the Texans still looking to shop Carr? Who would they use if they get rid of him?

I'm guilty of being one of those guys writing off the Spurs, I'm afraid. It's just that Phoenix and Dallas had been so darn good... the Mavs still are the team to beat but I'm glad to see Duncan and company playing so well.

Landry'd be an awesome pick for you guys. I'm telling anyone who'll listen that he might be the best defensive player in the draft. Quinn has been such an up-and-down commodity it seems, and really hasn't proven he can will the big game IMO. He may wind up being a very good NFL QB, but I don't think he's the answer for you guys with your OL problems.

Good to have you here -- make sure you stop by both the Spurs and Texans forums, if you haven't already!

Yeah, I'm a rival.

I'm sure if the right deal came along, the Texans would take a close look at it, but I don't think they are actively looking to trade him anymore after the Plummer thing went down. He was the guy Kubiak wanted and word is he would come out of retirement to play here, but the Bucs own his rights now and want too much for them. If Carr is traded, his backup (or competition in camp ) is Sage Rosenfels, who didn't do too bad last year in very limited duty before he got hurt.
