Wink Notre Dame Football Fan

Hi e-1! My name is Karol and I am married with 2 children. I am from south-central PA. My hubby has been a ND football fan all of his life and for the last 17 years, so have I. We really only follow football...who wouldn't follow Brady Quinn...lol! We have NEVER been to Notre Dame and I am hoping to surprise my husband for his 40th B-day with a trip to a home game. However, it seems as though the joke is on me!! I guess I will have to win the lottery before being able to afford tickets!! What is the deal there? The official ND site says it is illegal to sell tickets for more than face value. Anyone know the face value of a ticket? Anyway, I am very excited to find this forum...through Google of course. Hope I meet lots of ND fans and especially one with two tickets to sell. Ha Ha!

Re: Notre Dame Football Fan

Welcome aboard, Karol... yeah, it's a shame that scalping, while illegal in most states, is so prevailant. Irish tickets are one of the hardest in all of sports to secure, unfortunately, which is why we started our Notre Dame Tickets forum, so fans can buy, sell and trade Irish seats. Good luck finding tickets for your hubby; wish I could help out more!

Hey Karol. I live in South Bend so I thought I'd tell you what I know. The face value on tickets about $57 depending on who you get them from. Sometimes when they were bought for a group they go for $47. Some tickets are IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of w/o knowing someone or winning them. However any of the "less exciting" games ie. Army, Navy, Stanford... are much easier. We get offered them all the time. Usually one game like that is enough for the season so they get turned down. If I can help you with any more information just lemme know.

Re: Notre Dame Football Fan

Welcome to the forum Karol. While I am not a die hard irish fan, I have been known to follow them from time to time when they have players I like. The last time was Ricky Watters. I also would like to see a home game at South Bend. It is one of the items on my sports list of places to see a game. Let us know how much you ended up paying so I know about how much I need.

Oh Kateegrrrl....please, please, please let me know if you get offered ANY tickets. Of course, I am willing to buy them...just don't want to have to go to the slaughter house! I am really looking to find GA tech tickets just because that is Labor Day weekend...easier to get out there AND...it just happens to be MY birthday...lol So...talk about killing two birthdays with 1 trip! My hubby's 40th b-day is April 13 and I am having a surprise party for him...hoping the BIG surprise will be ND tickets. I will keep my fingers (and toes) crossed! Thanks for the reply!

Re: Notre Dame Football Fan

kateegrrrl...thanks for the reply. I tried to quote some of your info but somehow it is not showing up...maybe new members aren't able to quote. Anyway, I am not being too choosy, if I would be able to get my paws on 2 tickets...exciting game or not. I am willing to pay for them but I don't want to be taken to the slaughter house either! I was actually hoping for 2 Georgia Tech tickets just because it is a long weekend so we could travel, it would be a bit warmer (if not hot!), AND it is actually MY birthday! We could kill 2 birthdays with one trip...lol. Just please keep me in mind if you think of someone who is willing to pass up a game. I appreciate your consideration

Re: Notre Dame Football Fan

Welcome, justkidzmom, to the GoTeamsGo Fan Forum.

I believe they have certain discounts available to alumni and groups. Even though I am unsure about as far as pricing goes, I believe they would be considerably more expensive than some of the local colleges down here in Antartica.
