Hi BigD and welcome. If you are a Pirate fan, you had to have rooted for Willie Stargell. He is one of the reasons I became a baseball fan. It was my first and favorite game. My Dad was a Pirate fan and loved Stargell, so I watched with him. The Reds wan the game, so they became MY team. My Dad is still upset.

Ah, nice... another Buccos fan on the board! Welcome, Big D! So, looking forward to the start of the season? I guess part of me is under the delusion that with Sanchez in his first full year as a starter, we'll be at least a .500 team in 2007. What do you think?

I think that we will be a .500 team because of the new management and other players beside Sanchez. He won't carry the team but we will have several new players for the full season.

I grew up in St. Louis and still have familly there. I have lived in Pittsburgh for 40 years and follow them religiously with my grandsons. St. Louis is the best baseball town in the country and I root for them when they are not playing the Pirates.
