New Meat From Atlanta

Howdy from the home of the most exciting and least likely QB - to lead a team to the Super Bowl.

I am more of a college football fan (love the Dawgs) but do watch the pro game. I pull for our hapless Falcons however the frustrations leave me feeling used.

I am glad Blank made the coaching switch not so much because I disliked Mora but rather his choices for coordinators.

I would not be upset if the new regime traded our most exciting QB for a first round pick (who would take him) to grab the best reciever (Calvin from the hated bee's) in years.

Welcome aboard, JRL, and thanks for joining us! We've actually be discussing this scenario on the boards, kicking around a possible Vick to the Raiders for the #1 overall pick trade, which you guys would obviously then use to pick CJ. Then Petrino could snag Brohm with his other #1 pick. What do you think about that possibility?

I like it - Brohm for the future - Staub for the present - Staub has better stats than Vick.

All I hear is how bad our recievers are - yet the same recievers catch the ball when Staub throws it - go figure.

I think a lot of the people who want to bash the receivers and leave Vick blameless don't realize that Vick has zero touch on his passes. A good QB has got to make his receivers better. Look at what Tom Brady's doing with the Pats and tell me his WR corps is any better than what Vick has in Atlanta. The reason Schaub helps them is that he can put touch on the ball, while Vick throws everything 100mph.
