Hello to everyone!

It's nice to finally get the chance to meet some other race fans like myself. Texas is NOT the center of NASCAR go figure....I don't have anyone to watch the race with or even talk to about it on Monday b/c people here do not watch racing. I am going to the race in November here at Texas Motorspeedway in hopes that Kasey will show em all whos the best driver this year. I enjoyed reading your messages to each other and look forward to talking with each of you.

i went to the Daytona 500 a couple times, the atmosphere was great but the actual race itself was better on TV

Hey Momz4Kasey welcome to GTG from Grandma4Kasey. I'm so happy to have another female Kasey fan, I'm going to Atlanta end of the month. My Son got pit pass for friday, I can't hardly wait. You know who I want to meet. It would suit me good if Kasey won all the rest of the races. Sure am looking forward to sharing with you.

Yes this is my first time going to a Nascar race in person. I thought about wether or not I would enjoy it as much as watching on TV. I hope we picked good seats. Oh also I go to Atlanta a lot about every 2 months, maybe next year I could go to a race there. Tell me how you like it.

By the way, did anyone watch the Bush race last night? Three laps in and Kasey was wrecked out. You could tell he was hot. He missed the pole by 1/10th of a second to WHO? We will see today, wear your Kasey gear Gma.

I am not a fan of Nascar but if it is like any other sport I am sure you will enjoy it much more in person then watching it on TV. Just the fact that you have thousands of other fans screaming too adds to the fun.

Hi! I am new here will post more about myself later, but was reading your post I live in Minnesota and have been to two races at Texas. My very first one and then we just went to the spring race there tell me where your seats are at and will let you know if you got really good seats. I have a brother that lives just 10 miles from the track. Can't wait to go to a fall race there.

unfortunately NASCAR isnt like any other sport

the NFL NBA MLB and NHL sites are much much smaller

Daytona is a 2.5 mile oval with plenty of obstructions in the infield blocking your view of much of the track

dont get me wrong, im not saying it isnt fun going to a race, just be prepared for what youre in for

In my opinion, nascar racing is just not a New York sport! Sports need to be a game of physical skill, not machine....

True. I have never been to a Nascar race. I have been to an Formula one race though. I guess that is what it is called. The same cars that race at the Indy 500. That was over thirty years ago. The last race at the Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario California. I wasn't a fan of racing back then and my biggest memory was it was something I did with my dad. Maybe that is why I had fun at going to see the race in person. I have been to a lot of basketball and baseball games and they are much better in person then watching them on television.
