My name is Jon and I'm a 20-year old New Yorker. I usually like most pro sports (although past the "big four", there may be a drop off) with my favorites being Baseball (#1) and Football (#2).

I've been a tortured Knicks fan but thankfully it appears the Rangers, Giants and Mets have turned things around over the last couple of years. I like the Jets, dislike the Nets and am indifferent to the Yankees.

I'll follow college sports but I don't have a favorite team or anything like that, although I'll try and root for the hometown schools (although there aren't many major NCAA Athletics in NY).

My favorite player all-time is Cal Ripken Jr. (I first seriously began following MLB in 1995 and I loved watching the double play combo of Ripken and Alomar).

I can't recall how I found GTG, it's been a long time. I believe I'm one of the originals around here lol.
