I was raised in Pennsauken, across the river from Phila.

No, not familiar with it. But I did love to go to the Stone Pony in Asbury. Used to be a great place in its hay day.

Last time I saw the Stone Pony it was a shack in a vacant rubble strewn lot. Asbury Park, once a big family shore destination had become a shell of a town. Bunch of mental patients dumped in the run down beach hotels wandering the streets. When I moved south (11 yrs ago) there was an iniaitve to rebuild Asbury Park back. Sure hope it has improved...

It is somewhat better now. There has been some new construction on the beachfront. That area could boom if the right people got in on it. Prime beachfront property never goes undeveloped in NJ.
