Luczo Dragon Racing will expand its IndyCar Series involvement to three races this season with veteran Tomas Scheckter behind the wheel of the Honda-powered Dallara.
Scheckter, who has two victories in 92 IndyCar Series starts, will compete in the RoadRunner Turbo Indy 300 at Kansas Speedway on April 27, the 92nd Indianapolis 500 on May 25 and the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma at Infineon Raceway on Aug. 24.
Scheckter, who drove for Vision Racing the past two seasons, has finished in the top 10 of the standings in each of the past three IndyCar Series seasons. He was rookie of the year at Indianapolis in 2002, and advanced three positions to finish seventh in 2007.
"Tomas is one of the top drivers on the IndyCar circuit," Luczo Dragon co-owner Jay Penske said. "His presence and ability will give us a chance to win in each of our three races."
