Scott Dixon ruled the road courses in 2007, while Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan split on the streets. Who will contend in '08?
The lineup of five road/street courses returns for the 2008 IndyCar Series season – in the same order and weekend with the fans in mind. The twisting, tight streets of St. Petersburg (Fla.) are the site of the first of the right-hand/left-hand races on April 6. Castroneves won from the pole in '07 – his second consecutive victory in the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Will the "Dancing with the Stars" champion perform on the victory podium if he makes it three in a row?
Dixon, the IndyCar Series championship runner-up, swept the three natural-terrain events at Watkins Glen International, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and Infineon Raceway. Castroneves started from the pole in the former two races, but third place in the inaugural Honda Indy Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio was his best finish. He also rang up a runner-up finish in the Motorola Indy 300 at Infineon.
