It's carved out of the woods and surrounded by trees. Not a lot of elevation differences and it's pretty twisty. Looks to me like a very technical course. When I was there they were building a good sized building of some type. Someone told me that it was to be offices and a museum? I'm not sure that the Birminghamista's will go especially gaga over IRL. Now if one of the team sponsors could get Junior to sign a one off deal, that would pack the house!

But, we've gone over this topic a few times and apparently there is some sort of a limit on how often, or how many times a complaint, no matter how valid it is personally felt, can be brought up before people of a diverse mind feel offended somehow and start complaining themselves (over and over). You and I are mostly of like mind so we'll leave it at that. No further discussion about "Fanboys" needed; they are but a factor in the ruination of motor sports. |

| Re: 10/12 :: Barber open for business WC, you might not realize it but THAT is one of the most profound statements you've made in this forum. You absolutely nailed it. I believe that there are maybe ten (an exaggeration of course. The amount might be as much as quadruple that number) adult straight males in this state who care about something other than deer hunting, rah rah sis-boom-bah college football or stock cars with either the number 3 or 88 on them. I think I know two of them. |

| Re: 10/12 :: Barber open for business The IRL belongs in Urban Centers frequented by yuppies and Red Bull drinkers. A mainstream TV contract wouldn't hurt either, as in my neck of the woods only about half of the races are broadcast, the others are bumped by more important sporting events such as; darts, curling or poker.
