Sunday's game of Colts vs. Titans is pretty much meaningless as the Titans are the top seed and the Colts have the 5th playoff spot. But the game may be important for another reason. This may be the last home game for Coach Tony Dungy and WR Marvin Harrison.
Last year Dungy said that when the time was right he wanted to go into prison ministries where he could make a bigger impact in the world.
As for Harrison, in the world of the NFL, loyalty and sentiment go out the door when it comes up against cold hard cash.
If Harrison returns, he will count $13.4 million against the salary cap. If the Colts cut him, they will be on the hook for $7.4 million. Do the math. Cutting him saves the $6 million.
