NFL coaches book reaches one million copies in print

Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices & Priorities of a Winning Life, the memoir by Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy, has reached a remarkable milestone: there are now more than 1,000,000 copies of the book in print. Released in July 2007 with an initial print run of 170,000 copies, Quiet Strength, written with Nathan Whitaker and published by Tyndale House Publishers, is now in its 18th printing and is one of the best-selling sports-related books in history. -- Tyndale House Publishers

I read it. It was a great book. So much of who the man is is in it.

I haven't had the pleasure yet, but I'm definitely planning on it. I was hoping to get it for Christmas, but no such luck.

Re: NFL coaches book reaches one million copies in print

I'm not a big book reader but I bought this book after Christmas with some of the money I got as a present.

First impressions were, "WOW... this is a really good guy. And to think I didn't like him because he coaches Manning."

I'm a little over halfway through now (not a lot of time to read with working 55hrs at my job, trying to secure a second job, and talking care of my kids when I'm home) and I'm hooked. I find myself laughing out loud when reading some of the irony that comes out in the book as if he was there with me telling me the story.

I really think this book will help me be a stronger person when it comes to anger and not reacting to situations but rather responding.

This book might really get me into reading... at least this type of book. I might pick up "Bo's lasting impressions" next.
