Two different article, but both basically say the same things:

1. Addai and James are like night and day, personality wise, with the LSU grad being more soft-spoken than the ex-Colts RB.

2. Addai will start the season second on the Indy depth chart, with Dominic Rhodes getting the start. However, both stories quote Tony Dungy and Bill Polian as insisting that the 1st round selection will see plenty of carries as part of a two-back system.

Two back system? Good idea or bad? And where does this leave Mungro?

Can Addai replace Edge? With four rushing touchdowns - tying an NFL rookie record and setting a new Colts franchise mark - I think we officially have an answer to that question, and that answer is a resounding YES!

Can Addai replace the Edge, I thought he already had. Watching this young up-start, from LSU, run made me completely forget that James wasn't playing for the Colts any more.
The more pressing question should be, will Addai be the Rookie of the year?

When Peyton is your QB, it doesn't matter does it?...Addai, Edge, another 1st round RB...its all the same.

Having said that, the kid got me a big fantasy win with those 4 TDs, so Edge who?...

Joseph Addai I think is a perfect fit in that Indianapolis system. He is big enough to be a blocker and quick enough to be a solid back running out of the shotgun or regular set. I think he is a good find and won't do everything Edgerrin did, but he is a great replacement. Because they have Peyton Manning and don't run the ball as much as say Chicago, I don't think you'll ever see him gather big name yards and stats, but he will do the job.

J. Addai was second only to LT for rushing yds. this week. With only 30 fewer yards than LT.

This week the Colts meet the Titans who currently are in last place for total defense. This could be Addai's 200 yd game.

He is on the fast track to Rookie of the Year.

I think that he has gone a long way to prove that he can replace the Edge. I am more concerned that the Colts cannot stop the other team's running back. I am amazed every Sunday that any team that the Colts play would ever throw the ball when they can get 5+ yds a carry right up the middle. This serves two purposes; it keeps Manning off of the field and they will score. VEP

I could not agree more. I actually won a bet with a few co workers because I said Dallas was going to be the team to beat them. It seemed simple to me. They have a terrible run defense. Dallas has two good running backs. I figured they would just alternate pounding the ball on them.

As far as Addai goes,he has much more speed than Edgerin ever had. Much more exciting to watch.
