Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison missed another game Sunday, and Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star writes today that Harrison isn't playing until the playoffs. Kravitz makes clear that that's just his opinion (he jokingly refers to it as his "medical opinion"), but it seems like the safest bet. At this point, the Colts are the clear favorites to earn the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoffs, and why would they risk an injury to Harrison if they can get to the playoffs without him? It has now been more than a month since the Colts released a statement on their official web site decrying a report from ESPN's Ed Werder reporting that Harrison had been told he'll have knee pain for the rest of the season, and perhaps for the rest of his career. But it seems clear now that the substance of Werder's report -- that Harrison's knee injury was worse than just a bruise, which is what it was initially called -- was correct. Harrison appears to be on the verge of missing four more games on top of the seven he's already missed. He wouldn't miss that much playing time with a bruise.
