Interesting rumor floating around that the Colts may be in talks with the Chicago Bears, attempting to acquire RB Thomas Jones. According to the Daily Southtown, "Last week, general manager Jerry Angelo acknowledged listening to trade proposals from the running back-starved Indianapolis Colts." However, the Indianapolis Star counters with comments from Tony Dungy, who called the proposed deal 'more rumor' than anything else.

Would Jones be good for Indy, or should they just snag a RB in the Draft?

Maroney or White would be sufficient. There are seldom trades in The NFL and I wouldn't expect on here.

I tend to agree, especially because of the youth factor involved. Jones isn't old, but he has been around several years and he isn't a long-term answer at RB. And I have to admit I'm curious as to why Chicago wants to dump him all of a sudden. Shouldn't they at least make Cedric Benson earn the starting job instead of just handing it to him? Is there something they're not saying... an injury or attitude problem, perhaps?

Last I heard, Jones is still with the Chicago Bears but not happy with his contract. Cedric Benson is expected to challenge for his starting spot there.

Who thinks Jones could come to Indianapolis and make an impact?
