On Thursday, the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts begin the NFL season and their own title defense as they host the New Orleans Saints. This should be a real offensive barnburner. They've lost a lot of talent, though - Dominic Rhodes, Cato June, Nick Harper, Mike Doss, Brandon Stokely, Tarik Glenn, among others. How will the somewhat-new-look Colts fair in Week 1 against Drew Brees, Reggie Bush and a potent Saints offense?

This will be a great game, The score should be rather close but im going with the Saints by a touchdown..Brees to colston and reggie bush, enough said..

No way the Defending champs give it up to Reggie and Brees that easy...I think the Colts by a score. I am not one to want to bet against Manning right now. Anyone remember his comeback against Tampa Bay a few years ago?...and the Saints, as much as I liked them is not the Patriots.

I dont question the offense goth, I do question their defense though, losing cato june will be costly..

See, I think they are still plenty fast off the edge and they will make Brees bail to the backs a bit...it's gonna put a lot of pressure on Bush...and well, the Colts are built for speed...I think they can handle Reggie.

BTW, Fox has the Colts Defense ranked 23rd..they have the Titans ranked 20th..

Fox doesn't know what they are talking about. I like the Colts D...they ain't the Bears, but they are better than Tenn.

Indy did have some big losses on D - June, Harper, Doss. I wonder just how good they'll be. They've sure got a tough test early!

So how good were the Colts? How about 41-10 good? Wow. Peyton Manning threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns, while Joseph Addai had 23 carries for 118 yards and Indy went on a 31-0 run in the second half to just bury the upstart Saints.

well, the Saints got spanked real hard by the Bucs today ..... makes this win look a little less impressive ...... tie in todays near loss to the Titans and i would say the Colts may not be exactly as good as many thought
