I am sure most of you know about Tony Dungy's book, Quiet Strength. It was the number 1 best seller for a while. Last week I noticed it had slipped to number two. I have it on reserve at my local library and it looks like it will be a while before I get it.
Then there is his Super Bowl win, the first black coach to win it.
Now he has been given a presidential appointment. He will be on the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. It is a term of two years. He was first asked to be on it when his team visited the White House after their Super Bowl win.
This is a man who practices what he preaches.
He also said it would not interfere with his coaching football.

I'm looking forward to reading Quiet Strength, but like you, I may be waiting a while. Has anyone here read it yet?

Dungy is a class act. I wish we had more coaches like him in the NFL.
